How to Submit Your First Medical Bill to Granted (Step by Step)

How do you submit a bill to Granted?

You create a free account through your FFGA benefit, upload a photo or PDF of your bill (or connect your insurance so we can pull your charges), and add any context you have. We take it from there. The whole upload takes a few minutes.

Before you start, have these ready

  • The bill itself, as a photo or PDF. A phone photo is fine.

  • Your insurance card or login, if you want us to connect coverage directly.

  • Any EOB (Explanation of Benefits) letters your insurer sent for the same care, if you have them.

You don't need all of this to start. A bill on its own is enough. The extra documents help us work faster.

Step by step

  1. Open your FFGA benefit link and create your account. This is free and takes a minute.

  2. Start a request. Choose the bill or claim you want help with.

  3. Upload the bill. Snap a photo or attach a PDF. If a document is hard to read, we'll ask for a clearer copy.

  4. Connect your insurance (optional but useful). This lets us match your bill against what your plan should have covered. We cover 1,300+ insurance plans and patient portals.

  5. Add a note if there's context we should know. For example, "I already paid part of this" or "the insurer said this was denied."

  6. Submit. You're done. We review and follow up with what we found.

What happens after you submit

We check every charge for errors and overcharges, compare the bill against your coverage, and look for denied claims worth appealing. Then we tell you what we found, what we're doing about it, and what to expect next. If a success fee will apply, you see and approve it before anything is collected.

FAQ

Can I submit more than one bill? Yes. You can open a separate request for each bill or claim.

What if I already paid the bill? Still worth submitting. Overcharges can sometimes be recovered after payment.

How long does a review take? Timelines vary by how complex the bill is and how quickly a provider or insurer responds. We keep you updated as it moves.

How pricing works

Bill review, claim monitoring, submissions, 24/7 chat, income based discount checks, and insurance linking are free. The only fee is a 10% success fee on what we save you, capped at $100 per bill. No savings, no charge.
