What Is Granted? Your Free Medical Bill Advocate Through FFGA

What is Granted?

Granted is your healthcare advocate. You upload a medical bill or connect your insurance, and our team and platform check every charge, dispute billing errors, appeal denied claims, negotiate balances, and check whether you qualify for income based discounts. Creating an account and opening a request are free. We only collect a small success fee if we lower a bill for you.

Through your FFGA benefit, your district has made Granted available to you as a covered perk, with a first-case credit and a lower fee cap than the standard rate.

Why medical bills are worth a second look

Industry research puts errors in about 40% of medical bills. Roughly 20% of ACA claims are denied, and fewer than 1% of denied claims are ever appealed. Most people don't have the time or the leverage to push back on their own. That's the gap Granted fills.

When we do lower a bill, the average reduction is 74% of the original amount. We've analyzed more than 100,000 bills for over 25,000 families.

What Granted does for you

  • Reviews your bills and Explanation of Benefits (EOB) documents for errors and overcharges

  • Disputes incorrect charges with your provider

  • Appeals denied insurance claims

  • Negotiates balances down where possible

  • Checks whether you qualify for income based discounts

We work on your side. When a charge is wrong, we say so and act on it.

How to get started

  1. Create your free Granted account through your FFGA benefit link.

  2. Upload a bill or connect your insurance so we can see your charges.

  3. We review, flag anything that looks off, and tell you what we found and what happens next.

You approve any fee before we collect it. If we can't reduce a bill, you owe nothing.

FAQ

Do I have to talk to my insurance company myself? No. We handle the disputes, appeals, and negotiation on your behalf.
